I have been enrolled in a school for over 40 years that enhances skills in teaching and public speaking. This school has enabled me to teach the bible one on one for over 30 years. I am currently teaching 5 students: one is 10 years old and the rest are between the ages of 30 and 60 years old. While learning the bible and how to apply bible principles to their lives, the students are also honing their reading and comprehension skills. I absolutely love teaching! I also very much enjoy the satisfaction of helping a student to fully grasp what they are learning. In order to accomplish this, I like to employ different teaching methods such as illustrations and viewpoint questions. An additional skill that I can also bring to the table is an aptitude for math. I have worked as a bookkeeper for about 15 years, so I have good understanding of math and accounting principles.

I love to read and meditate on what I am reading. Because of my training, I am able to really think deeply about a passage I am reading. I also love getting to know people and what makes them tick, so to speak. Understanding that everyone learns differently, I truly enjoy the challenge of trying to find an approach to teaching that will really affect a particular student.
